Halumin™ C makes coin photography simple. Patent pending Halumin C is a specialized lighting device tailored for photographing, videoing, and inspecting coins.  With intuitive controls and replicable settings, it’s an essential tool for coin collectors, dealers, and enthusiasts aiming for professional results.

Building on Halumin’s Open Cylindrical™ design, the Halumin C offers advanced, adjustable lighting options to produce a range of high-quality images. From capturing fine details to creating unique beauty shots, Halumin C performs with precision. Its versatility suits nearly every coin photography need.

Halumin C includes three light sources, each independently controlled with increment-marked sliders for precise, repeatable control.  Lights can be used independently or in concert, meeting a variety of needs and creating a variety of looks.  Inspection Mode uses just halo lights and provides high-contrast detail to highlight mint marks or reveal details not seen with the naked eye.  Field Mode uses the Front Light to evenly illuminate the coin’s field and create pleasing reflections, helping to deliver truer colors and sheen for clear, accurate photos.  Beauty Mode combines the lights to craft your preferred signature style, A tilt knob adjusts the angel of the halo to achieve varied lighting effects.

The removable lid adds flexibility. With the lid on, ambient light is blocked for consistent results almost anywhere. With the lid off, Halumin C  supports creative angled shots and video, adapting to surrounding light conditions.

Low power consumption of 12V and less than 1A enables portability. Halumin C works with AC and DC power, as well as third-party batteries for use on the go. This makes it practical for coin shows or fieldwork. Halumin C brings professional coin photography within reach for all users.

Halumin "C" Lighting System: A Game-Changer for Coin Photography

As a commercial photographer and lighting designer, I’ve rigged countless setups for capturing reflective surfaces, but the Halumin "C" has redefined my workflow. This circular, open-light design is a revelation for photographing coins, delivering unparalleled results for both raw and slabbed pieces. Having already invested in two of the larger H18 units, I added the compact "C" to my arsenal, and it’s quickly become a standout.

The "C" strikes a perfect balance of size and performance. Unlike the H18, which demands more space than my desk allows, the "C" fits seamlessly into tighter setups. Setup is a breeze—within five minutes, I had it ready to go. Paired with a camera locked in full manual mode, the intuitive slider adjustments let me fine-tune lighting without ever touching the camera or subject. This precision translates to a gallery of crisp, stunning images with minimal effort.

The lighting quality is exceptional, rendering intricate details and textures with clarity that’s ideal for appraisals or auction catalogs. It’s not just a lightbox; it’s a transformative tool that accelerates workflow while producing professional-grade results. For coin photography, the Halumin "C" is as indispensable as a 10x loupe—a must-have for anyone serious about capturing reflective objects with finesse.

Patina in a Photo

I've been a semi pro photographer for decades. Shot and developed Black and White in the darkroom in Highschool for the yearbook in 1968. Never could catch lovely patina, and the multitude of colors that exsisted in such!! This small box is THE ANSWER!! GREAT PRODUCT and GREAT PRICE!!
